The Limassol Carnival is one of the most popular festivals organised by the Municipality of Limassol in Cyprus. Each year, the associated events have an official start date on Shrove Thursday (19th Feb 2017), starting with the entrance of the Queen of the Carnival and ending with the Grand Parade (Sunday 26th February) and the official theme of the Limassol Carnival this year is “The Deep Blue of the Mediterranean”.
This year's Carnival season was once again packed with many incredible events and opportunities to take some great photos for our Carnival Photography Competition. Members were encouraged to attend the events highlighted in our calendar as well as other events organised around the island. You can see some of our members in action during the Grand Parade below :)

We also held our very own Carnival Party on the 24th February at the Brittania Restaurant in Limassol for the second year running with over 70 people attending! During our party we also held a fancy dress (and best performance) competition which saw Katy Parks and Richard Sale swooping up first prize with "Gangster's Paradise".
We were also extremely honoured to have Erma Stylianides with us who was a former queen of the carnival!
Many thanks to Christos Mousikos for covering our party and providing the fantastic photographs! If you would like to view all the photos from this event, please click here.
For those of you taking part in the carnival competition, we are now accepting entries. Feel free to join us this Friday at our Photocoffee shop session where we will also be taking orders for our official club T-shirts. The award ceremony and exhibition will be announced very soon. Stay tuned!
